At Lloyds Bank, North America we aim to help Britain Prosper by connecting the UK and Lloyds Banking Group with the rest of the world and to be the best bank for our clients and colleagues as well as the communities that surround us. Between our large UK presence and our New York Branch, our volunteering initiatives make a real difference as thousands of our colleagues are active participants in local community organizations, in and out of company time.

Our people’s skills provide many benefits to communities, which equate to millions of dollars of in-kind support for organizations. Volunteering also gives colleagues the opportunity to develop skills which are valuable to our business.

In addition to this, we support colleagues who choose to support a partner charity after office hours by offering them half the time volunteered in paid time off and matching donated funds.

Our charity of the year

As well as volunteering with a number of local organizations, we support a principal charity organization chosen every two years by colleagues. We do this by running internal fundraising events throughout the year. We are thrilled to be focusing our fundraising and volunteering efforts towards Birch Family Services for the term of 2022-23.

Birch Family Services empowers individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Founded in 1975, Birch Family Services is a leading provider of education, employment, and community support services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities and their families in New York City.

Every year, the organization supports more than 2,000 people across 31 locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. From preschool to graduation, employment, housing and beyond, Birch Family Services provides fully integrated programs and services to support individuals in achieving their goals across their lifetime.

Birch's education and community support programs offer opportunities to become involved in literacy and community integration initiatives.
