Capital and Financial Markets Teams Combine in North America

Date: 04.01.2015

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking North America is combining its Capital and Financial Markets teams to create one overall Markets business to provide a more client-focused approach to its product offerings.

The new Markets team will be led by Andy Schaeffer, who will become the President of Lloyds Securities Inc., adding the North America Capital Markets responsibilities to his existing role of Head of Financial Markets North America and will ensure even more focus on delivering the high quality services our clients need in these areas. Schaeffer will continue to report in to Mark Grant, CEO of North America locally and Richard Moore, Managing Director, Head of Financial Markets in the UK, in addition to James Garvey, Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets in the UK.

Samir Lalvani, current Head of Capital Markets, North America has decided to leave the Group to pursue other opportunities.

Mark Grant, CEO of North America, commented:  “The two Markets teams have seen significant growth since the beginning of 2014, attracting eighteen new members as we enhanced the services we offer our North America clients to meet their growing needs.”

“The refocus of these teams is another step in the continuing development of our client led strategy and will bring greater clarity to the services we provide to clients, as we help them to fulfil their growth objectives.  We are delighted that Andy has agreed to take up this exciting opportunity. I would also like to thank Samir for having played an instrumental role in building out our presence in North America since joining the Bank in 2009 and we wish him every success in his future endeavours”
