Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has further strengthened its Financial Institutions team with the promotion of Seb Kafetz and appointments of Michael Zentz and Yomi Akinyemi to its North America headquarters in New York.
Kafetz has been appointed as Head of North American Insurance Coverage having been promoted from his previous role as Senior Vice President in the US FI insurance team. In this new role, Kafetz will continue to report into Robina Barker Bennett, Head of Financial Institutions North America. Kafetz has extensive experience, particularly in the insurance and reinsurance markets, having joined Lloyds Bank in 2002, and working in New York since 2012. Within his new role he will continue to focus on providing innovative corporate financing solutions tailored to client needs.
Zentz joins as Senior Vice President, specializing in Banks and reports into Barker Bennett. Zentz will be focusing on transactional banking and capital markets for US banks and for US based subsidiaries of the global banking community.
With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry prior to joining Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, Zentz was a trader at CRT Capital Group and spent eight years at UBS located in New York and London where he held various roles in FIG Debt Capital Markets, origination, ABS and RMBS.
Akinyemi recently joined the North America team as Vice President specializing in Funds. He joines from the London office where he has held a number of roles in Funds, Transaction Execution and Industrials since joining the bank in 2010. Prior to joining Lloyds Bank Akinyemi spent four years at Barclays.
